On Wednesday, November 7, 2007, Kevin Gersh, the students of the Gersh Academy Hauppauge campus and Natalie Baye of The Trust Partners presented a contribution check to the not-for-profit organization, Let All The Children Play. OUR MISSION

Gersh Academy is dedicated to creating a dynamic partnership among home, school and community. Our team understands, accepts and supports children by teaching them the way they learn. Our goal is to develop the whole child and teach him/her skills for everyday life. We provide a nurturing environment that allows students the opportunity to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

Kevin Gersh
President, Gersh Academy

For the first time in the history of special education, children with neurobiological disorders can spend their entire school career, from Kindergarten through College, in a coordinated learning environment customized to their individual needs. Through each phase of their development, Gersh Academy helps children succeed by teaching them the way they learn.

The Gersh Academy's Family of Educational Services includes:

* Elementary Program grades 3-5 for children ages 6-12

* Gersh Academy's Middle School and High School, grades 6-12, ages 12-18

* The Gersh Experience at Daemen College, offering fully accredited, college-level courses leading to a bachelor's degree in a variety of majors

* The BASE Institute for individuals on the autism spectrum, ages 5-21

Until Now, your search for the ideal learning environment for your child was illusory.

Until Now, it was only hope that fueled your resolve to find someone, somewhere who could understand your child's educational needs.

Until Now, the question "Can you help my child to succeed in school?" was met with silence.

We understand and accept our students for who they are. We believe the main factor in their academic and social success is not their desire but their disorder. Our proven teaching methods decrease students anxiety and stress and enhance their ability to learn. The results are profound.
