The Active Career Exploration Program
Helping Students Help Themselves
| Through our Active Career Exploration (A.C.E.) Program, our students have the opportunity to learn specific skills through class work, job exposure, and volunteer or internship experiences. Our goal is to have students prepared for jobs in a variety of fields by having them participate in a multi-faceted training program. This transitional program enhances the student's regular education and ensures that by the time they graduate from Gersh Academy, they will be well on their way to being able to be a desired part of tomorrow's workforce. The A.C.E. Program is broken down into two separate programs, the Career Discovery Program, which is geared towards our 3-12 students with neurobiological disorders, and the Cooperative Work Program, which is geared towards our BASE students on the autism spectrum. |
