Our History

Gersh Academy, Inc. has been providing superior customized educational services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Related Neurobiological Disorders since 1999.  At this time, Mr. Kevin Gersh identified a void within the special education community for students who learned differently and needed to be approached in a different manner.

Throughout his own personal life, Kevin Gersh himself has been challenged by dyslexia and ADHD. This disorder brought upon obstacles and frustrations in school that were beyond his control and he has gained a deep understanding and compassion for students facing similar obstacles. Mr. Gersh has dedicated his professional life to provide a high quality environment where education can be customized to meet each individual’s needs and enhance their overall life experiences.

Currently, Gersh Academy, Inc. operates several day school programs in the New York Metropolitan and Miami area, as well as a post-secondary program just outside of Buffalo, New York.  In 2007, Gersh Educational Consulting was established to help school districts overcome potential difficulties in meeting the educational needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Related Neurobiological Disorders.  Gersh Educational Consulting also provides a range of private therapies and programs to further facilitate students’ development.
