About Us

For the first time in the history of special education, children with neurobiological disorders can spend their entire school career, from Kindergarten through College, in a coordinated learning environment customized to their individual needs. Through each phase of their development, Gersh Academy helps children succeed by teaching them the way they learn.

The Gersh Academy's Family of Educational Services:

• Elementary Program grades 3-5 for children ages 6-12
• Gersh Academy's Middle School and High School, grades 6-12, ages 12-18
• The Gersh Experience at Daemen College, offering fully accredited, college-level courses leading to a bachelor's degree in a variety of majors
•  The BASE Institute for individuals on the autism spectrum, ages 5-21

We understand and accept our students for who they are. We believe the main factor in their academic and social success is not their desire but their disorder. Our proven teaching methods decrease students’ anxiety and stress and enhance their ability to learn. The results are profound.
