Gersh College Experience - Post Secondary Program for students with Neurobiological Disorders

Gersh students live in residential facilities in the North Tonawanda community in close proximity to the campus. Each facility is staffed with trained resident advisors and is customized around each student’s individual needs. Residential units comprise a living area, kitchen, dining room, study area, and three or four bedrooms. A shuttle system will be available to transport students to and from the campus.

The residences serve as a base for students to develop close friendships, learn independent living skills such as budgeting, household management, culinary arts, and health and hygiene, while practicing their self-advocacy, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. The residence program also provides the students with opportunities to learn to access appropriate types of transportation to meet their needs. Driver education will be available to any student who is seeking to become a licensed driver.
